| Greencastle Greens Golf Club | 5 | This is a WORMBURNERS Special review.... If any of you really would like to consider Value...This is the Course... I played this course on Monday 6/25 and paid 30 dollars with the cart. I believe the weekend rate with cart after 12 is 38 dollars... This course is located just over the PA state line off of I-81 in the town of Castlegreen.... You will not find better fairways...They were like carpet and were in excellent condition. The geeens were not overly quick, but the roll was true. The Staff was very friendly and the pace of play...at least for the Monday was exceptional. This layout is a great test of golf...With very scenic holes...The 1st hole ... A par 4 is down the mountain...and the safe shot is a 3 wood....Its all down hill and you can easily hit a PW 150 to the hole with only one bunker to worry about...I stuck the shot 2 feet from the pin. There are alot of memorable holes on this course...and the condition of Greencastle greens is excellent...They are putting in sprinkler pipe lines on some holes...But they are between fairways and will give the player a drop in the grass area closest to the repair area. I just Loved this course ... And it played better than many recent 80 dollar rounds.... | 6/26/2007 | kphipps |
